Jared West

Jared West L.Ac. (Licensed Acupuncturist) has been part of the Astara program since its inception. He uses acupuncture as a complimentary therapy for addiction recovery. Acupuncture helps reduce cravings and the symptoms of withdrawal by stabilizing the nervous and endocrine systems and restoring the body’s natural balance.

Jared is a second generation acupuncturist.  He received his formal training at the American Institute of Alternative Medicine in Columbus, Ohio, where he graduated Suma Cum Laude in 2008.  He has been studying Chinese Medicine for over 15 years beginning with an apprenticeship to a Taoist monk in 1991.  Jared serves as President of the Ohio Association of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (OAAOM).
